With the United States having the largest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the world, and with Louisiana leading with the fastest infection rate in the country, it is more important now , more than ever before, for everyone to do their part to avoid the spread of disease. Listed below are some helpful tips you that you can follow to help avoid spreading the virus.

Practice social distancing as often as you can. Self isolate and stay at home if you are feeling unwell. Maintain a distance of six feet from anyone who is unwell.

Wash your hands frequently with hot water. The recommended time to wash your hands is twenty seconds with either water and soap or any alcohol based hand rub.

If you must cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a disposable tissue or your flexed elbow. Avoid touching your mouth, nose, or eyes with unclean hands.
